I struggled a bit with this week’s Stampin’ Queens Sketch Challenge (SQSC33). Nothing I tried worked, so I looked through my Likes on the My Digital Studio site, and suddenly I had it figured out. Here’s this week’s original sketch:
And here’s my version of the card:
The pansy design was taken from Marian Kay’s Pansy Butterfly. Hard to believe those pretty pansies were made from the butterfly punch! The color effect is made using Drop Shadows, similar to what is demonstrated in the Adding color using drop shadows video by Cindy Schuster. Here is the details:
- Background Layer: Big Top Birthday—Paper 4
- Pansies: Overlapping and rotated Butterfly Punches, in this order and color:
- Large, back butterfly in Wisteria Wonder
- Medium, middle butterfly made with drop shadow set at 100% Opacity and Full Blur in Concord Crush
- Small, top butterfly made with drop shadow set at 100% Opacity and Full Blur in Summer Sun
- Daffodil Delight Brad in the top center
- Embellishments:
- Grosgrain Ribbon—bow in Wisteria Wonder
