Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop Banner! Hop with Us!

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom, and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you! You may have arrived from Tracy’s blog. She used the same DSP and stamp set that I did, but our cards are quite different. So much variety from just a few supplies!

Greeting card showing 15 different patterns of paper, laid out like quilt squares, with the sentiment, Sending Happy Thoughts

Project Description

This month’s blog hop theme is Sale-A-Bration. I wanted to focus on the fantastic Dainty Designs DSP, which includes 48 sheets of paper in 24 different designs. I couldn’t design on the DSP pattern, so I settled on a card design that lets me show off 15 different patterns! As you can see from the quilt layout I used, the DSP includes bright colors in versatile patterns.

Close-up on the greeting card's sentiment, Sending Happy Thoughts, showing the ribbon and embellishments colored with an alcohol marker

My card has a Granny Apple Green base, so I colored the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and Classic Matte Dots with Granny Apple Green Blends to make matching embellishments.

    1. Thanks, Annette! I agree. All those bright colors are great. There are some that I think could double for fall papers too, especially those with Mango Melody!

    1. Thanks to you Nancy! I really had fun playing with the little squares to find a way to show off as many of the designs as possible.

    1. Thanks, Tracy! One day I need to get creative and try some quilts that get beyond little squares—but the little squares are versatile and an easy go-to!

  1. Very pretty paper patterns and a great card to showcase them! Great idea color the ribbon and embellishments to coordinate with the cardstock. Thanks for sharing!
