Simple birthday card with layers of white cardstock and a floral focal image, mounted on a soft green background

Project Description

This month’s blog hop theme is the January to April 2023 mini catalog. I loved the Queen Bee stamp set when I first saw it. It has a vintage look to me, and the stamps give you so many options.

Detail of the floral focal image showing soft green worn text with purple flowers stamped over. A soft green bow is in the lower right corner.

My card has a Soft Succulent base, with layers of scored Basic White strips to give the card dimension. I was going for a simple, clean design. I CASEd the design from a card on Pinterest, pinned by Sue Kestner. I followed the basic layout of the original, but added the ribbon.

    1. Thanks, Julia. I tried another color (happened to be soft succulent) and it just didn’t “pop” the way that the white does. Funny when white makes a card work for me.

    1. Thanks, Tracy! I was secretly afraid that the layout might be too simple. Glad you like it.
