Project Description
This month’s blog hop theme is favorite bundles.I focused on the Let’s Set Sail Bundle, which includes a stamp set and punch. Oddly, I started this card months ago. Probably last June, and then set it aside to work on something else. I had planned it for a swap, but I didn’t get it done in time. It seemed perfect for this month’s blog hop, so I finished it up.
For the background of the waves and sailboat, I added thin strips of Masking Paper around the edges to preserve a crisp border. I blended Blushing Bride ink down from the top using a Blending Brush, and then I blended Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana up from the bottom, into the Blushing Bride to create a soft morning or evening sky.
I tore pieces of Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana to create the alternating blue waves on the bottom of the card. I dragged the torn edges on the Craft White ink pad to add breakers in the waves. I used a heavier hand with the white ink in the closer waves. The sailboat is tucked into the waves.
I stacked up three punched sailboats and sets of sails, so that the sailboat stands out a bit from the background.
